The ranch-style homes range from 1500-2000 square feet.  You’ll find this subdivision between 5 and 6 Mile Roads and I-275 and Haggerty Road.

The subdivision of Francavilla has roughly217 homes, mostly ranch, colonial, and cape cod style. Most of the homes in this subdivision have a brick exterior, with 2 car garages, 2 + bathrooms, 3-4 bedrooms, and a basement. The colonial and ranch floor plans have 1900-2600 square feet.

Deer Creek subdivision in Livonia, MI was established in 1986. It started with two homebuilders, Huntley Homes, and Curtis Homes. Homeowners at Deer Creek hold the title to their homes and lot. Although there is an HOA, homeowners are responsible for the maintenance of their homes and lots. The HOA will be responsible for the maintenance of the entrances to the community and the nine landscaped islands.

Livonia History

The first settlers in Livonia were from New England and New York. Its territory was established in 1935 and was initially known as the Livonia Township. The name Livonia already existed in New York and Pennsylvania and the settlers simply brought the name with them. Small communities existed throughout the township, one was Elmwood, which was known as McKinley’s Station. This was a stop on along the Detroit, Lansing and Northern Railroad. There was a post office in Elmwood from 1858 until 1906. In May 1950, the citizens of the township voted to make Livonia a township.
